The Lebanon Public Library, in partnership with the Community Foundation of Boone County (CFBC), has launched a powerful new resource for local nonprofits, educators, grassroots leaders, and community advocates: free public access to Candid’s Foundation Directory Online.
This widely used grant database provides detailed information on thousands of foundations, grantmakers, and recent grant awards across the country. The database is now available at no cost to the public, accessible via the library’s computers or Wi-Fi network on site.
“This tool will empower local organizations to do more good, with more resources,” said CFBC CEO Julie Reagan during a ribbon-cutting event that welcomed nonprofit leaders and community partners. “We’re proud to partner on this effort to increase access to funding and build capacity across our community.”
The initiative is part of CFBC’s broader mission to equip Boone County changemakers with tools and support to grow their impact. For small organizations and local leaders who may not have access to paid research tools, this offering opens new doors to funding and partnership opportunities.
To access the Foundation Directory Online, visit the Lebanon Public Library and connect to the Wi-Fi or use a library computer.
