NSSB Volunteers Support Boone County Cancer Society at Battle of the BBQ

North Salem State Bank’s Commitment to the Community group had a fantastic day in Lebanon on Saturday, August 9, volunteering and fundraising for the Boone County Cancer Society (BCCS) during two impactful events: the You’re Not Alone 5K and the annual Battle of the BBQ.

In the morning, NSSB team members helped guide runners and walkers along the 5K route. Later that evening, volunteers served snow cones and cotton candy to attendees—raising funds to support BCCS’s mission of providing life-changing services to Boone County residents affected by cancer.

Each quarter, NSSB’s Commitment to the Community initiative focuses on one organization in the counties they serve—Hendricks, Boone, and Putnam—offering employees the opportunity to give back through hands-on service.
