Thank you for your interest in serving as a member of the Boone County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
The Boone County Chamber is seeking talented individuals to serve on the Board of Directors for a 3-year term, from October 1, 2022 – September 30, 2025. The Boone County Chamber Board of Directors is comprised of dedicated professionals representing the Boone County business community, who play a vital role in the chamber’s leadership, strategic planning, and growth.
Serving on the Boone County Chamber Board of Directors is an opportunity to connect with Boone County business and community leaders to fulfill the chamber’s mission, Connecting Communities and Advancing Businesses.

Board of Directors' Responsibilities
As a group, The Board of Directors:
- Develops a long-range plan for the chamber
- Sets policies and procedures to guide chamber operations
- Oversees management of the chamber’s budget and assets
Individual Board of Director Qualifications and Expectations
- Is a current Boone County Chamber member in good standing for a minimum of one year
- Serves a minimum of 1 three-year board term; eligible to serve two three-year terms
- Embraces supports and promotes the mission of the Boone County Chamber: "Connecting Communities, Advancing Businesses."
- Attends and participates in chamber-sponsored events regularly: "Off the Clock" (monthly after-hours networking event), ribbon cuttings, professional and personal development programs, legislative forums, annual golf outing, annual banquet, etc.
- Actively participates in discussion and decision-making at monthly board meetings. The entire Board of Directors meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month from 7:30 am – 8:30 am at the chamber office, 221 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon, IN. This is subject to change based on board composition and availability.
- Complies with all bylaws, policies, and procedures of the Boone County Chamber
- Makes a serious commitment to promote chamber membership and its benefits actively
- Leads and participates in at least two chamber committees
- Participates in membership recruitment and member retention efforts
- Supports and participates in fundraising/sponsorship efforts
